Newshound was shortlisted in 2009 by the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) for a report done in Gaza about Hamas's extensive underground network of tunnels. We were also a finalist in CNN World Report's news category for a story about Africa's first space astronaut.

Newshound works as the Middle East office for the leading 24-hour international news channel "Russia Today". RT broadcasts in English to more than 150 countries. We also provide stories for South Africa’s 24-hour eTV news channel, Reuters Africa, Channel News Asia and a number of private production companies.

Our stories range from one-and-a-half to four minutes news reports while our documentaries are between 24 minutes and an hour. Previous documentaries include the Israeli army's withdrawal from Gaza in 2004 which was shown on South Africa's leading current affairs programme, Carte Blanche. A documentary showcasing the Rwandan genocide, South Africa's apartheid policies and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict received rave reviews when it was broadcast by the South African Broadcasting Corporation.
